Cars For Single Moms

There Are Many Options for Single Moms To Get A Free Car

Cars for single moms can be the key factor in which a single mom can find and keep a job. Of course if you live in a large city, public transportation would be your best option. Even so, commuting via bus or subway with a baby stroller is not the easiest thing to do (believe me carrying a baby stroller in a busy subway station in NYC every day is not the easiest thing to do). Even though it’s not easy, it’s still very possible to do (think about it as an intense workout).

But what if you live in a city where there’s poor public transportation and a car is essentially your only mode of transportation to and from work? If you’re a single mom, the expenses of having a car, plus every other family related expense can just be too much for a mother with one income supporting their family.

First, let’s break down the expenses: there’s the car itself, insurance, gas and if you’re car is used, you have to remember maintenance. It’s overwhelming, I know.

But here are a few tips to help get a single mom a car she can afford.
• Don not go to a car dealership. Plain and simple

• Check car listings in the newspaper and on Craigslist for good deals. Also, it’s not a bad idea to post an advertisement on Craigslist telling people of your situation. Many times people will donate vehicles to receive a tax credit the following year.

• Check non-profit agencies and also use the internet to Google car grants and car loans for single moms.

One organization I found that seems to be the best for single moms is 1-800-Charity Cars. Established in 1996, Charity Cars, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, and the first charity of its kind in the United States. Their mission is to provide a free vehicle to assist single moms and other low income families to become self sufficient. Some websites suggest Habitat For Humanity, but they will not directly give a car to a single mom, they usually act as the middle man and give the car to an organization such as this one.
The reason I like this car donation charity for single moms, is because all it takes is three easy steps to apply.

• First single moms have to visit at www.800charitycars.org and create a profile. You can write about anything you want, but the more personable, the better. This is your chance to tell the your story and explain why you are the most deserving candidate to receive a car. Don’t hold back, the funnier or sadder your story is the better chance you’ll receive votes.

• Next single moms will have to generate votes. Generating votes is essential if you want to receive a free car. By generating votes single moms can increase their karma level therefore your profile will be ranked higher on the page. The more traffic you create for this website, your chances of receiving a free car will be a lot better.

•Last, after you have received a high number of votes, apply for a free charity car. Even if you don’t win this time, keep at it. It’ll be nothing but beneficial for single moms to continue to vote and communicate with others in the same situation as you.

•If you are unable to qualify for whatever reason, there are always loans available especially designed for people in challenging situations.  This company provides loans to single moms even if you have really bad credit: Bad Credit Motor Loans for Moms

I am also a low income 26 year old single mother of four and i am a member of free charity cars . Org and i ve been there for a while and i stil havent gotten a call yet but it takes time. It not a site to where you are going to get a car rite off the bat. So i also went to a charity site called free gifted cars and havent heard nothing back from them either. And there are many more charitys to try. God bless all us single mothers and may we get blessed with what we need soon.

Hi.! I am young but I am a single struggling mom. I am 18& I jus graduated from highschool 2months ago. I wanted to create a bright future for my 6month son& I so I moved to Carbondale,Illinois to attend Southern Illinois University. My son never got a chance to meet his father because he was shot &killed months before he was born. I don’t have any kind of income & I can barely afford to eat. Some of my friends &family send me a few dollars every now&then to help me out. If I can get around to school &other helpful resources I would be one step closer to a bright future for me&my son. I an really praying and hoping that I find some kind of support or else me &my baby will be homeless, hungry, broke, and furthermore hopeless. If u can bless Me with a car I will be able to go to skool, look for a job, and find other helpful places to help support us. Thanks a lot &your help is greatly appreciated.

Habitat for Humanity does not give cars to charities. We are our own program that sells donated vehicles at private dealer auctions ONLY. We do not “give” cars to other organizations.

Hello, I’m a single mom of a beautiful baby girl, I became a mother by rape, but I don’t regret having my daughter one bit. I am currently living at home with my parents and have a job from June until November. So, I’m currently out of work but looking for a second job. I am in school full time. I have been looking for a second job so I can save up enough money for my own place to live.
I currently share a car with my mother, who doesn’t get to drive her car at all due to the fact that I’m always on the go. I feel bad for using her car so much and yet, she doesn’t care one bit because I put gas in the tank and pay for my portion of the insurance.
Having my own car would be so much easier on my family and myself. The guilt of using my mother’s car all the time would be lifted. Thank you so much!

I just feel the need to voice my opinion that everyone should pray about their situations and others that they think about. it’s not an instant fix but it does help. God wont leave us or forsake us. sometimes its hard to keep faith espcilly in some of ur situations but we have to be thankful for everyday we have and remember God wont put on us what we cant handle. Its very hard being a single mother especially with no car my boys and I walk almost everywhere and its very scary somtimes but we manage and u all are in way more need of help with a car I wish u all the best and will keep u in our prayers

My boyfriend recently left me and my two children stranded without a home or vehicle. The vehicle was in both of our names so he took off. I am 8 months pregnant and unable to work due to gestational diabetes and pregnancy complications. I have dr’s appointments at least twice a week and have no way of getting to and from except to pack up my kids and walk. I am in desperate need of transportation. If there is someone out there blessed enough to help, I can make payments to you and be in your debt forever. Please call 269 414 0105 God Bless!
